DEI work can feel overwhelming.

The Basecamp Experience is about CLARITY

There is confusion about what DEI work is and where it meaningfully connects with our business models and enterprise strategy. While this work can be muddy and scattered, a community of practice and care is essential in this work. Basecamp is here to provide focus and clarity on self and the collective. The Basecamp Experience was designed to pair you into meaningful groups to enrich your learning and deepen your connection to self, others, and the work.

Other certification programs may provide select concepts, terms, and case studies, but Basecamp was created to fortify transformational leaders to build an equitable future for your organization and beyond!

ACCOMODATIONS & EXPERIENCE

GRAND BOHEMIAN HOTEL

Our choice to host the in-person retreat at a luxury boutique hotel just outside Birmingham is intentional. Chief Diversity Officers, who often have their work delegitimized and undervalued, should be treated like any other executive. Especially given the toll that comes with being an institutional change agent, Basecamp is grounded on the idea of “Deep Care for Transformative Leaders.” We want to ensure that the in-person retreat and your stay enable soul work and are equally enriching and sophisticated.

Each month, Fellows are expected to commit 3 hours to program sessions and at least 2 hours to preparation

Monthly Coaching Call

1 hour each month to explore your personal and professional development, as well as specific initiatives for your org.

Monthly Soul Work Call

2 hours each month paired with a small group of Institutional DEI Leaders to reflect on your growth and challenges.
